In 2005, Douglas A. Bartley, one of the original members of our club, a past president & a staunch supporter of what the club stands for, received two awards for 25 years of continuous involvement. His support in Agro-Tourism & education to closely involve Urban & Rural peoples into the values we receive from each other, was non-stopping until his untimely death.

He won the the award as Man Of The Year from Southwest Trails Assocaition for Regional Tourism, and was a finalist as Volunteer of the Year in 2005, by Manitoba Tourism.

The attached write-up is from the Awards Booklet from the "2005 Manitoba Tourism Awards Gala", which was held in Winnipeg, and sponsored by Manitoba Culture Heritage & Tourism.
